Apple Events 2020: New products and software soon

On average, Apple holds three to four Apple events for 2020. There is usually an event in the spring in March and then the Worldwide Developers Conference in June. Then it is organizing an event in September focusing on iPhone and Apple Watch. And sometimes it happened in October if iPads or Macs are expected in the fall.

There is no event in early 2020

The first Apple event is usually held every new year in the spring at Apple Events 2020. Usually in March. We expected an event in March, maybe 31 March. But the global health crisis delayed Apple’s plans and there was no spring event.

Apple introduced the MacBook Air and new iPad Pro models in a press release in March. It launched the 2020 iPhone SE in April.

WWDC

Apple hosted the digital-only WWDC 2020 event as part of Apple’s 2020 events and unveiled iOS 14, iPadOS 14, macOS Big Sur, tvOS 14 and watchOS 7. However, no new devices have been announced. However, Apple has shared its future plans for Arm-based Macs. The first device is expected to be launched in late 2020.

Autumn 2020

New models of iPhone and Apple Watch

September always comes with new iPhone and Apple Watch models. But September 2020 will be an exception. We expect four new iPhone models with options of 5.4, 6.1 and 6.7 inches. All are said to be equipped with OLED screens and 5G connectivity.

The 6.7-inch iPhone models and one of the 6.1-inch iPhone models will be more expensive than the “Pro” models compared to the 5.4-inch model and the other 6.1-inch model expected to be more affordable alternatives such as the iPhone 11 september.

Rumors say that Apple is working on advanced Bluetooth headphones with an all-new design and superior sound quality, which it might call “AirPods Studio”. There may be two versions in development, a premium model with leather-like fabrics and a fitness-oriented model with lighter and breathable materials.

Removable earphones and headband packing can be included allowing these components to be replaced. The headphones are expected to have active noise cancellation like the AirPods Pro. Apple is aiming to set a launch date in 2020 and the price could be around $ 350.

iPad Air

It is said that an update to the iPad Air is on the horizon, and there are rumors that it may have a full-screen display with a sub-screen version of Touch ID or Touch ID integrated into the Home button with a 10-inch screen.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said recently that Apple is working on a “smaller wireless charging pad” which is expected to be released in 2020. No background or other information has been provided about the upcoming product, it is not.

So it’s unclear if this is the miniature version of the AirPower carpet, which has been discontinued, or something else.

The new Apple TV

The new 16-inch MacBook Pro

Apple refreshed the 13-inch MacBook Pro in May, adding scissor keyboards and a new option for 32GB of RAM. But there are also rumors that the 16-inch MacBook Pro will be released in 2020. It may contain a small LED screen.

However, it is not clear whether or not the current health crisis will affect Apple’s plans, and the LED-illuminated MacBook Pro may be delayed until 2021.

12-inch MacBook

Although there are rumors that the first Arm-based Mac with an Apple Silicon chip is the MacBook Pro. China Times believes Apple is working on a new version of the 12-inch MacBook Retina that weighs less than one kilogram.

The MacBook will be equipped with an A14X processor called “Tonga”, which will have autonomy from 15 to 20 hours. The site says the device could be launched in 2020, but most Arm-based rumors have focused on the MacBook Pro and iMac.

IMac has been updated

Apple updated the 27-inch iMac in August, but there are still rumors that the 23- to 24-inch iMac with “iPad Pro design language” and thinner Pro Display XDR bezels could come in late 2020 or early 2021.

This iMac is also expected to feature a specially designed Apple Silicon chip and Apple GPU.

Apple TV

Apple is working on a new version of the Apple TV with an updated processor and a redesigned Apple TV remote control that can have a Find My-like feature to locate the remote control when it is lost at home. The new Apple TV is expected to launch in 2021.
